There is a particular elegance to the Panerai Luminor Marina that is quintessential for the historic roots of Officine Panerai.
The simple and legible white dial features the classic 3, 6, 12 hour markers and the small seconds dial at 9 o’clock. Actually, the name “Marina” was added as a symbol of the chronograph counter that was included at the request of the Royal Italian Navy divers for whom a few seconds were of vital importance.
The movement used by Panerai for this Luminor Marina is a hand wound COSC certified OP XI Calibre that has 17 jewels, an Incabloc® anti-shock device, a Glucydur® balance, a Swan’s neck regulator and a 56 hours power reserve. This beautiful mechanism is displayed through the elegant sapphire caseback.
