The 16061 is one of the first models designed by Heuer as they ventured into digital display watches. Originally these were pitched as high-value luxury items, lauded for their accuracy, with this reference retailing at $195 (about $700 in today's money); however as the chips became cheaper to make, luxury brands turned away from digital in an effort to protect their high prices. The 16061 is a particularly rare reference of Heuer LCD, with very few ever surfaced. For collectors, these Heuer LCDs mark an interesting cross-point at which the luxury market dipped its toe into digital.
This piece is complete with original bracelet and the time / stopwatch functionality are in good working condition. There is a blemish under the glass on the right hand side, as clearly shown in photos and the backlight is not functioning. The case is clear of any significant scratches or damage, only showing general wear as expected with a watch of this age. Please enquire for more details.
